N Seoul tower, Seoul South Korea
From wikipedia, “N Seoul Tower is a communication and observation tower located in Namsan Mountain, central Seoul, South Korea. Built in 1969, and opened to the public in 1980, the tower has been a symbol of Seoul and measures 236.7 m (777 ft) in height (from the base) and tops out at 479.7 m (1,574 ft) above sea level. It has also been known as the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower.”

Naengmyeon: Korean cold noodle dishes: Insadong, Seoul South Korea
Continuing my culinary adventures with Korean food I got the opportunity to try some Korean cold noodle dishes with one of the hostel workers from Banana Backpackers, NamEun. Herself as well as all of the staff at Banana backpackers have been extremely helpful with almost any requests (from translations to directions they’re always lending a hand). We found this nice restaurant in Insadong, just a few minutes walk from the hostel. Continue reading
Mt Bugaksan- the northern mountain (Seoul old fortress wall)
A few weeks ago I left the hostel early in the morning with the thought of going in a direction I hadn’t walked through before. Slowly an even road began to have a slight incline. I noted several small galleries and marked their location using gps. I told myself I’d revisit them at a later time and do a post on them. I later discovered that I was unknowingly walking near the South Korean’s presidents house (called the blue house).
