Got into Hiroshima early this morning and settled into the Hana hostel. Resembles more a hotel then a hostel and the facilities in general are very nice. Suspect the rainy season has started, spent all day yesterday and today walking in the rain. Heading off to the Hiroshima peace memorial which is suppose to be a very intense experience (a guidebook says to give yourself time to decompress afterward).
No more updates until I have access to a decent computer that doesn’t cost to use. Lots of pictures taken and articles written but haven`t had the time or resources (computer) to put them together. I will post them retroactively once I finally get access to a computer for a few days.
Will be in Hiroshima for a few days minimum, possibly 4-5. Then will be making my way back to South Korea and will be working my way across the east coast back to Seoul. I`m really looking forward to that.
All the best!
Quick update
Lyphard bar lounge, Minowa train station Tokyo Japan.

My first assumption was that it was a condo belonging to some lucky and rich individual. Continue reading
Disney sea, Tokyo Japan
I was lucky enough to meet a Disney sea employee while having a few drinks at the Lyphard. After a few hours of speaking in broken English about our respective countries he reached into his pocket and pulled out an employee free entry pass which he proceeded to give me. I thanked him immensely for the pass as they’re not something the employee’s get often. The passes are approximately 70$ Canadian or 5,800 Yen and unfortunately I never even got his name! Ghibli Museum, Mitaka district Tokyo Japan.
I had succeeded in buying tickets to the Ghibli museum at a Lawsons convenience store with the help of the friendly staff the previous day. The Lonely planet guide book was mistaken in indicating if you hadn’t purchased your ticket months ahead of time you wouldn’t be able to go. Just point yourself to one of the many Lawsons convenience stores, look to make sure they have one of their electronic kiosk machines Continue reading
